Divisadero Corridor to Get Major Facelift!!

Starting Monday, Divisadero Street will receive a major facelift between Waller and Geary. The revitalization project will consist of new trees, streetlamps, bus shelters, pavement improvements, curb-ramps, This revitalization project will consist of curb-ramps and new sidewalk bulb-outs, new streetlamps, landscaping, sidewalk improvements, street trees, sewer installations, pavement improvements, and median improvements for pedestrian crossings. The Divisadero corridor has experienced a resurgence in recent years with a number of new businesses opening and the successes of the weekly farmers market and quarterly art walk. Supervisor Mirkarimi looks forward to these new improvements continuing this positive trend. Note that parking will be temporarily removed along sections of Divisadero and adjacent streets. Be sure to check the posted signs for the ‘no-parking' times and dates. The entire project is scheduled to last until January 2011.
